SPG Foundation is a non-profit organization by youth, for youth, and with youth. Our primary mission is to help young adults aged 18-35 in the Greater Toronto Area reach their full potential and become vital members of their communities. The foundation focuses on one core program each month, efficiently utilizing resources and maintaining a quarterly balance between sports, culture, and youth development categories.

We are seeking a resourceful Sponsorship Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sponsors, donors, and funding partners to secure financial and in-kind support for our youth programs. This role requires excellent relationship-building skills and a thorough understanding of fundraising strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and identify potential sponsors, donors, and grant opportunities
  2. Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and funding applications
  3. Coordinate applications for government grant programs
  4. Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, individual donors, and funding agencies
  5. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to sponsors and funding partners
  6. Collaborate with program staff to align sponsorship opportunities with program needs
  7. Coordinate sponsorship recognition and benefits fulfillment
  8. Assist with fundraising events and donor appreciation activities
  9. Track and analyze sponsorship metrics to optimize fundraising strategies
  10. Coordinate with the Board of Directors on major funding initiatives


Minimum Requirements:

  1. Work experience in business, non-profit management, communications, or related field
  2. Experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, or grant writing
  3. Strong understanding of non-profit funding landscape
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Proficiency in donor management systems or CRM software
  6. Experience with budget development and financial reporting
  7. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities


Preferred Requirements:

  1. Experience with government funding applications (Federal, Ontario, Toronto)
  2. Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency regulations for charitable organizations
  3. Experience with the Ontario Trillium Foundation or other major granting bodies
  4. Familiarity with youth-focused programming and community development
  5. Experience with digital fundraising platforms
  6. Microsoft Office tools proficiency (PPT, Excel, Word, Teams)
  7. Proactive communication attitude
  8. Understanding of the corporate social responsibility landscape in the GTA
  9. Bilingual capabilities (English, Korean)
  10. Notable achievements or unique experiences in the field (if applicable)
